North Lakes is located 25 kilometers north of the Brisbane CBD and houses a population of more than 13,000 people. It is a community that offers residential living (house and land, and apartment), a retirement village, various community and medical centers, state and private primary and secondary schools, recreation facilities, a championship golf course, a Westfield shopping center and commercial/light industrial business parks.
CQA's involvement since 1998 is to work with the developers and civil contractors in areas including earthworks, road construction compliance testing, site and geotechnical investigation, geotechnical and civil engineering consulting and environmental testing and consulting.
During this period our work includes:

Geotechnical Testing and Earthwork Supervision of the development of more than 4000 residential and commercial allotments, local and main arterial road construction, and underground service infrastructure

Geotechnical Investigations for residential allotments, at the Retirement Village, Bounty Boulevard State School, North Lakes Business Park, North Lakes Town Package

Geotechnical and Civil Engineering Inspections and Consultation on retaining walls, footing and slab designs for residential and retirement village construction, stability assessments for excavation and piling rig platforms associated with the construction of the Westfield Shopping complex

Environmental Testing and Consulting throughout various stages of the North Lakes development including water quality monitoring, acid sulfate soil assessment, erosion hazard assessment and topsoil fertility testing
CQA’s multidisciplinary team of professionals have assisted the developers and civil contractors of North Lakes by providing knowledge and expertise in all areas of engineering, geotechnical and environmental testing, assuring compliance with regional, state and federal standards and main roads specifications applicable to all areas of this development.
