Civil Quality Assurance Laboratories have a proven history of providing time efficient, detailed, accurate analysis; we can provide services in a minimum time frame without compromising the integrity of the results.

Our four laboratories are NATA accredited for an extensive range of test procedures, from routine quality control testing through to specialist geotechnical procedures. Our latest accreditation at the Sunshine Coast laboratory is the Stone Quality Testing Suite (including the Polished Aggregate Friction Value – PAFV Test).


To ensure the reliability of our services, our laboratories are always resourced with state of the art equipment and well-trained, experienced and motivated personnel. All CQA technicians are highly qualified and experienced in a range of NATA accredited tests. More can be seen on our key geotechnician qualifications at our People > Geotechnical Technicians page. A full time laboratory manager is present in each of our laboratories to ensure quality control and a constant smooth operation of all laboratory activities.


All CQA NATA accredited laboratories provide a range of services that are current with Australian Standards, Local Council requirements and Main Roads Department procedures and regulations in the following areas:

NEW SERVICE - Stone Quality Testing Suite

CQA Sunshine Coast Laboratory has recently been granted NATA accreditation for a suite of Stone Quality Tests (including the Polished Aggregate Friction Value - PAFV test).

To attain accreditation, a thorough research and development process was initiated, resulting in the acquisition of laboratory equipment required to perform these tests. CQA is currently the only private company with the ability to provide this testing suite in Queensland and has commenced testing, including quality control testing, for companies in the areas of mining and mining exploration and quarries and quarry users (eg. concrete, asphalt and aggregate producers).

CQA has the capability to sample for our clients or can receive samples directly to our laboratory.

CQA has received positive feedback from clients who have recently toured our Sunshine Coast laboratory, commenting on the state of the art equipment and value the new service will provide to them.
